Cheap Eats 2008/Autumn Update/Sataybar turns 4! |
A big thanks to all our fantastic staff and customers for their contribution towards another great review in the The Age Cheap Eats 2008 - the number one guide for food in Melbourne. It is Sataybar\\\'s 4th year in a row to be reviewed and recommended - every year since we opened our doors. Best quote: "Snag a stool at this pumping joint and watch the staff turn satay-ing into theatre." With Autumn now upon us, it\\\'s a good time to give a quick update. Have you tried the new Spicy Tofu skewers yet? Don\\\'t forget to keep an eye out for the specials such as Kangaroo. Heading into Summer 2007/08! |
Hi everyone, With summer just around the corner it\\\'s a good time to give you all an update. You may have noticed the absence of Chris and Merv from Sataybar. They are both still wholeheartedly part of the business but are on a well deserved break! In the mean time, Manor is our full time manager and a fantastic one at that! All our great staff are still around at various times through the week. You can still contact Chris or Merv at info@satay.com.au And of course, the food is still as good as always. The best satay in town! Just one more note, the winter \\\'Satay In-a Roll\\\' special has taken a summer vactation and is not on the menu at the moment! Happy New Year everyone! 2007 has opened with a bang at both Sataybars. Both stores will be open from 11am for lunch for January. For January only, both stores will close around 3pm. Summer Hours |
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our customers and friends! Sataybar will be closing for Christmas and opening again on the 2nd of January. Both stores will be open over summer from 11am till 4pm. Hope to see you all back in 2007! |

The May 13 edition of The Saturday Age placed Sataybar as one of the city's best five 'pint sized lunchspots'. In other news, Poffertjes, otherwise known as Dutch pancakes, are all the rage at Sataybar Manchester Lane. Also at Sataybar Manchester Lane, the current beer special is Carlsberg beer. |

Sataybar is back in the groove for 2006! After a great 2005 - we were reviewed by The Age on numerous occations, featured on Channel 9, debuted in 'Cheap Eats' in our first year and received a special acknowledgment by The Lord Mayor John So at the retail Innovation Awards at the Crown Palladium - it is going to be a hard year to top! However, we shall give it our best shot! Sataybar Manchester Lane is slowly but surely becoming a popular new lunchtime destination and the word is out about Friday evenings at that location. Get in before 730pm to be safe. Meanwhile the original Sataybar Flinders Lane keeps pumping! Thanks to all our regulars for their support in making it such a hit! A quick word on the menu prices on this website - they could be a little incorrect! - we are having a little trouble with the programming. Apologies. Any queries just call either store.
